Clinical Psychologist – BBehSc (Hons), DPsych (Clinical), MAPS
Dr Carli Growcott is a registered Clinical Psychologist who has over 14 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families across Melbourne. Carli has completed a Doctor of Psychology specialising in Clinical Child, Family and Adolescent Psychology and has worked across a number of different settings including mental health services, schools, and in community health. She has a passion for working with preschool and primary school aged children and their families.
Carli is a full Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS), and is an approved Medicare provider. Carli shares the SW Psychology passion for working with individuals with anxiety disorders and has extensive experience treating a range of anxiety based conditions. Using a combination of cognitive behavioural strategies, play therapy, neuropsychotherapy, interpersonal therapy and a strength based approach, Carli empowers her clients to make positive changes in their life and relationships, thereby enabling them to move forward with their development and be in a happier place.
When working with children, Carli has a bubbly and playful approach, so children quite quickly feel comfortable in her presence. She has a particular interest in working with anxious children who find it difficult to separate from their primary caregivers, are socially uncomfortable or have lots of worries. Carli also enjoys working closely with parents to provide support and strategies to cope with the challenges of parenting and assist them with additional tools for their parenting tool kit.
Carli is in the Clinic Mondays (including evenings) and Fridays, and is available to take new clients.
